A couple of short years ago, I was CONSUMED with all the stress and unpredictability that came with being a step-mom, co-parenting, having to deal with my husband’s ex wife… you name it!

There were nights I would lay wide awake worrying about what was going to come next.
There were days I would get phone calls from my husband, giving me the latest, I would hang up and notice my hands were shaking uncontrollably. 
There were times when I would see an email in my inbox, and my stomach would turn in knots.
Even when things were calm, I was stressed out just anticipating the stress that was to come.

It was not healthy.
And it was NOT how I was going to live my life.

So I made some changes.
I changed my attitude.
I changed my outlook.
I made some conscious decisions that led to a complete shift in my step-family life.

Now I don’t lay awake at night (as often)
My hands don’t shake when I get off the phone with my husband.
I am not stressed out all the time.

And guess what… all the stress and chaos that was giving me those reactions STILL exist!
The change was in me!
