So I decide to jump on the vlogging train! I'm still not sure how I feel about it yet, but it's definitely fun to step out of your comfort zone and do something new!

Anywho, last weekend Darren surprised me with a weekend away in Collingwood. I use the word "surprised" very loosely because I am pretty much a detective so I figured it out about two weeks before.

I thought our weekend away would be a good opportunity to play around with some video and give you some behind the scenes into our life!

Let me know what you think. It's a work in progress and was definitely more complicated than I thought

SIDEBAR: If you're planning on starting a vlog yourself, you should know that you need to put your IPHONE on landscape not portrait if you want it to fill your whole screen... I learned a LITTLE too late! oh well! You live, you learn right?... When you know better you do better!

So bare with me.

If you've been following me for any length of time, you know that I am a huge proponent of making your relationship with your partner a TOP priority. When you and you're partner are at your best, you're better able to handle the stressors that can and do come with blended family life... and are overall more patient and united as parents.

This weekend away came JUST in time for us, because as you'll see, we had put our relationship on the back burner, and both of us acknowledged it had NOT been a good thing  (I believe my husband refers to me as miserable about half way through this video. Hey, at least he's honest!)

Like I said, date night and taking time away with your partner basically sets the foundation for success in your family! ... However some people get caught up in the idea that you have to spend money or get a babysitter in order to have alone time with your husband. That is simply not the case!

I recently wrote a post on 8 Dates That Won't Cost You A Penny

Even if you think your relationships couldn't get any better, you should check it out. It's always fun to find new ways to spice things up!
