Have you ever been sitting there wondering whether or not you should do something?

Wondering whether you should take a plunge? Wondering if you should take a risk?

Whether something is worth getting all worked up over?

Whether or not you should speak up or do whatever it is you’re planning on doing.

Or even whether or not you need to make some changes in life.

I don’t know about you, but I find myself doing this type of wondering all the time. Now that may be because I tend to over think things, but something tells me I am not alone here.

Over the past few months I’ve started asking myself one question. A question that has made the answers to these questions OH SO MUCH clearer.

The question is…

What would my 95-year-old self say about this?

Seriously, when you’re stumped, ask your 95-year-old self what you should do. They are pretty damn wise!

Here’s what my 95-year-old self has told me over the past few months.

  • You don’t need anymore clothes

  • Surround yourself with people who bring out the best in you

  • Just go for it

  • Forget the haters

  • Take chances

  • Get uncomfortable

  • Don’t sweat the small stuff

  • Don’t sweat a lot of the big stuff either

  • Step outside of the box

  • Smile more

  • Practice gratitude

  • Time heals

  • Ditch the assholes

  • Show more love

  • 10 years from now, most of this won’t matter

  • Money isn’t everything

  • Do what you love

  • Get your ass to the gym

  • Have a piece of cake

What does your 95-year-old self have to say? Seriously? Ask them!
