Whew! What the heck is going on this year? All I can say it, holy cold and flu season!

Seriously, our family has never been as sick as we have been this year, and I know
we’re not the only ones in this boat.

I’ve literally been caring for a sick child or a sick husband at least once a month
since November.

I’m not talking 24-hour bug here. I’m talking crazy fever, days in bed, emergency
room visit kind of sick.

This year, I’ve been especially grateful that I work from home and have been able to
care for my people.

In fact, I’m pretty sure I would have been fired from a job by now with all the time I
would have needed off.

Anyways, with all the sickness in our house, I’ve really improved on my caretaking

I’ve mastered working in bed with a toddler and a computer on my lap.
I’ve perfected our chicken soup recipe (I’ll link it below. You’re welcome)
I’ve learned to function on 2-4 hours of sleep
I’ve figured out how to hide a chewable Tylenol in a freezie (it’s a bit of an art)
I’ve also found a way to take my toddlers temperature without having to wrestle her
down like a pig. (Seriously, she’s a squirmy little thing and absolutely hates putting a
thermometer in her mouth).

This year we were introduced to the Braun No Touch + Forehead Thermometer and
all I can say is Braun “where have you been all my life?”. I’ve officially declared this
thermometer as a “must have” for every mom.

It’s so quick and easy. All you do is touch it on your child’s forehead and it takes their
temperature in seconds! Plus, the screen lights up red, green or yellow to tell you
how severe your child’s fever is! No googling necessary and the kids love it!

Fortunately, as I write this post, everyone is back at school and our house is
healthy again. We've been diffusing essential oils non-stop, crossing our fingers that it stays that way!

Let me just say, Spring can’t come soon enough!

Anyways, I’m going to leave you with our favourite chicken soup recipe and send
healthy vibes your way. Here’s to hoping this cold and flu seasons exists as quick as
it came!

(You can purchase Braun No Touch + Forehead Thermometer at Walmart).
